This is the Mackenzie River. Amazing. The drive from this ferry to Inuvik was about 100km and quite boring. All low shrub, not much to see.
Inuvik was a small town with an interesting above ground pipe system for their water and sewage (utilidor). We arrived on the Sat. afternoon, and forgot that it was a long weekend. Everything was shut down for Sunday and Monday.
This Eagle was on a pole right beside our campsite. He was there most of the day, enjoying the very warm weather. Who knew we would be wearing shorts and flipflops in Inuvik!
The last picture was taken at about 10:30 pm on the banks of the Mackenzie and the fishermen were heading out! It was still very bright by midnight!
