So we drove through Tok and back up to Chicken. This has been Laurie's dream ever since he started researching the trip. We had to get there, even thought we had to back track 1000+km and several days we finally got there. Laurie says it was better than his expectations, (they had weak wifi in the middle of nowhere) and Barb says, it lived down to her expectations, it really wasn't very exciting. They did have a smaller dredge, an official chicken, and gold panning opportunities. The road from Chicken to Dawson is still closed. The drive was through miles of sweeping vistas with the remains of an old forest fire that covered over a million acres.
