We had to show our passports to enter the base. [and we needed our passports several times on the highways as the border patrol stops all vehicles for inspection - we were quite close to the Mexico border at times] The museum was closed due to a power failure (the trucks were working right beside the centre) however, there was an extensive display of missiles in the outdoor exhibit. The US has certain designed an incredible variety of missiles! The campsite later in the day was right beside the Rio Grande, again up on a hill. Very peaceful and pretty.
