there are a couple of trails from the rim down to the Colorado River. The Bright Angel trail was available to go down a few feet, or 1 mile or all the way. We didn't even venture forth! Its a 2 day hike all the way down. And if you wanted to book a mule train trip to the floor you had to book it 1 year ago!
