Tuesday, day 1 on the road

We were up by 6:30, on the road by 8:00, having double checked doors, windows, lists... forgot Barb's kahlua, but solved that problem at the duty free shop in Sarnia. (Which by the way, had the most elegant and beautiful public washroom Barb has ever seen). It took about 1/2 hour to get through US customs and then we drove and drove and drove, 908 km on freeways made by preschoolers who like the "corduroy" bumps -not so good in a bfrt with camper. We were astounded by the 100's x7? of garbage laden trucks traveling from Toronto to the dump site near Lansing Michigan. Come on, Toronto, there has to be a better solution!

Driving through Chicago was no treat - we thought we had it timed pretty well to arrive at the end of rush hour, about 6 pm. Wrong! Turns out we crossed a time zone just East of Chicago, so it was really 5 pm. And Gypsy wasn't particularly helpful.

Now we have to figure out where we will go tomorrow. Heading towards Minneapolis on our way to Winnipeg by the weekend.
