Lloydminster

We have been getting educated on crops, dealing with the grain and farming on the prairies. Many of the "old" grain elevators are being torn down and replaced with mega systems, which are less frequent. Bill (see Oyen entries) tells us that this means the farmers have to travel a greater distance with thier grain. Around Lloydminster there are fields and fields of canola. There is yellow to the horizons, I couldn't stop taking pictures. Apparently even though Lloydminster has a heavy oil refinery their biggest oil export is canola oil. (they have a canola oil processing plant as well.) We tried to camp at the Rolling Hills golf and RV site but didn't get good vibes as we drove around, opted to return to town.
