Days 2 and 3

 

 

Hello from Fargo, N. Dakota! Well, actually, we're in Moorhead, which is just across the Red River.
We camped last night beside the St. Croix River, at a State Park. No electrical hook-ups so we enjoyed "roughing it". We went through an intense storm just before arriving at the campsite. Apparently there had been a tornado warning and I suspect we were pretty close to the centre of the storm. The rain and winds were astounding, and the one little town we struggled through had water at least a foot deep in the streets. But 10 miles down the road, the sky cleared and we had a lovely evening in the park. Great hike over to see the river, dam and Dalles (granite cliffs). Did another hike this morning and then drove north east to Fargo.

We will be in Winnipeg tomorrow - looking forward to reacquainting with Laurie's Aunt Melvie, cousins Jaime and Karen and their families.
